K.T. had suggested a medieval feast to accompany her AD&D game on Saturday, because the game was going to be a tourney. The cooking turned out much better than I'd hoped. We're definitely going to have to do this again sometime.

And I'm considering making that squash casserole again for myself while Matt's out of town.

Of course, Matt's not gone just yet; he's going into work about 9, and then he and his team are heading out for Camp Lejune around 11 or so. I already kindof miss him. Is that sweet, or sortof pathetic?

I've been playing with Flash at work lately. What do you think? My apologies to Escher, whose work I mutilated ever so slightly for this. (If you can't see it, you're missing the Flash plugin. Don't worry about it too much.)

Oh, if you're seeing a sortof weird blink as each ring fades out, I don't know what's causing it. I can't see it in Flash developer, but as soon as I export the movie, it shows up. It's like the background is shifting slightly after it's exported. Anyone else out there who's played with Flash and has any idea what might be causing it, please let me know.

Yesterday afternoon, I rode my bike up to the grocery store so I could buy something small and write a check to get some cash. I'd been planning to take the back road to the shopping center, as it's a little shorter, but Matt reminded me just in time that the road that connects our neighborhood to the shopping center has a fairly deep dip in the middle. I didn't think I was quite up to the dip, so I took the longer, but flatter route around.

For now, the grocery store is pretty close to the edge of my limit, but it will get better as I ride more, of course. For the time being, I was pretty happy with myself.

I was hoping to ride today, but if the rain doesn't clear up, I won't be able to. Bah.

My friend Jim stuck his head in the door a minute ago to say good morning, and he summed up the feeling for today perfectly: It doesn't feel like a Monday; it feels like being at work on a weekend. All we want to do is go back home and burrow back under the covers.

Here's hoping tomorrow's better.
