Last year: Everything was good. This does not happen. It was frightening.
The Hall server went down yesterday for something like three hours. It was scary. What, oh what, were we to do without our daily injection of Halling?
Luckily, it came back up eventually. But due to some things I'm not supposed to even know about, and therefore can't talk about, they're going to have to move the server from its current location. We're not sure where, yet. It makes me glad I put up my own site.
Hey, that's a thought. The HMs (Hall Masters) who actually update the site all have Macs; maybe we could stick the webpage on mac.com. Then we'd just have to find a small, friendly IRC server. Ah, well, it's something to think about, I suppose.
I got in about an hour's nap yesterday evening, and then was in bed by eleven. I'm still pretty tired today, though. (Coffee understands me. Coffee loves me.)
And I have no work to do at work. None. Nada. Zip. Zilcho.
So, what am I doing today? Any number of things, I guess. I brought a DVD with me - that's good for a couple of hours. I'm working on writing another story. I have my sketchbook with me, in case I feel the need to depress myself. I can always find someone on IM to talk to. ("LizLBrooks" - say hi sometime!)
Yep. I'm going to be bored out of my mind.
