Weekend? We had a weekend? Damn, I must have blinked!

Actually, I almost did a lot this weekend. We almost went to see the movie A.I. with Braz and Kris, only to discover that the theater sold out the tickets between Braz's purchase and Matt's. We almost played 7th Sea on Saturday, but between K.T. being half-asleep and Matt's awful allergy attack, we decided instead to just watch a cheesy pirate movie.

(As an aside, The Crimson Pirate is a very cheesy pirate movie, but it has one really great line: The pirate captain asks the leading lady, "Why did you lock your door last night?" to which she responds, "If you know it was locked, you must have tried it. And if you tried it, then you know why it was locked!" Hee hee!)

I almost compiled all my digital camera pictures and put them on CD - but I seem to be missing a couple of months' worth of disks. I bought some software for making CD labels, and it almost completely sucks. I burned another audio CD, this time to a 700Mb CD, and it almost works - it plays in my computer and the DVD player, but not in Matt's old boom box. I'm almost sure I've decided how to handle that.

I almost had a heartburn attack, almost managed to ignore the cat's morning annoyances, and almost got enough sleep. I ranged the gamut of emotions from almost angry to almost deliriously happy to almost apathetic. I almost said some things I'd have regretted later, and I almost wrote a story.

Really, all weekend, I did almost nothing.

Now it's Monday again, and the time for "almost" has past. It will be a short week, which is good, since I'm already looking forward to Thursday evening. I've reached the point where I'm almost interested to see if we can manage to finish this project on time - which for me means that I need to complete two modules by the time I go home Thursday. We'll see.
