Two days until my vacation. Two days until my vacation. Two days until my vacation. Two days until my vacation. Two days until my vacation.
If I keep repeating it, maybe I'll be able to get through these next two days with some level of equanimity.
It was a very unexciting weekend, actually. I'm not complaining about it. We ate out rather a lot, played 7th Sea on Saturday (I'll be glad when we get someplace that my character can actually speak the language - being mysteriously silent was amusing for the first few weeks, but it's beginning to lose its charm) and did a whole lot of nothing all weekend.
Actually, I played in a bunch of Hall sessions. I already feel kindof sorry for Matt, trying to figure out what order to post them in.
I borrowed a bunch of music from the Brandts last night. I don't know why I'm so "into" music just lately - I've never been very good at assimilating new music, but recently I've gotten very interested in it. I want something new to listen to. It's not that I want to ditch the old stuff (well, maybe some of it) but that I want to play with some new stuff.
And by "new" I don't necessarily mean new - although that's not ruled out - but maybe something old that I haven't heard before. Or something I have heard before but don't actually have. (Just lately 80s pop makes me happy. Matt says it's a nostalgia thing. He could be right, but it doesn't feel like nostalgia.)
Matt and I are talking about how we want to divvy up our unexpected tax refund check. Part of it will go into our joint savings account, and the rest we'll divide between ourselves for what Matt likes to call "mad money." I am seriously contemplating dropping a significant chunk of my "mad money" into music. It's a sort of weird feeling.
Sorry for the short boring entry. It's two days until my vacation, and I'm a little distracted.
