Long weekends are good. Yep, they sure are.

We didn't do much to speak of - just the way I like it, really. We did some panic-shopping Friday night to pick up some birthday presents for my mom. Saturday we went over to my parents' house for Mom's birthday, and went over to Gloucester for dinner at a very nice little seafood restaurant that took some effort for us to find.

We spent most of Sunday and Monday sitting around the house doing not much of anything. Well, I did, anyway - Matt got up early Sunday and mowed the lawn.

We got our new mattress set on Saturday. It's much firmer than we're used to, and a good four inches higher - my feet can't touch the floor if I'm sitting on the bed. It's a little disturbing. We're still getting used to it, but I think it will be good for us. My back hurts less already.

I confess to a mild amount of concern about using the mattress for certain -ahem- recreational activities, if you know what I mean. It's not a very bouncy mattress. Ah, well, we'll see when we see.

Short entry today, I guess. I'm fighting a throbbing headache that I hope very sincerely isn't the edge of a sinus infection. I'm feeling a little scatterbrained, too. Yeah, work should be a peach today. Time to go take some Advil and fix some tea.
