Last year: I know, I know, it's probably too good to be true.

Hooray! I had chili for dinner last night and didn't get even a hint of heartburn! Yay!

Of course, I always overestimate how many toppings we'll need. I bought an extra pint of sour cream that didn't even get opened. I bought two bags of tortilla chips, only to have it turn out that I was the only one who was eating them. (Well, Matt had a few, but I was the primary chip-eater.)

Ah, well, I'm sure we'll think of something to do with the leftovers.

After more than ten minutes of discussion with my manager yesterday, I came to the realization that the document I thought I was writing was completely different from the document he thought I was writing.

I thought I was writing an internal "How-To" sort of document - something for other developers to consult if they found themselves using this other company's products.

He thought I was writing the formal evaluation of the products that is our "deliverable" for the project - which I had assumed he would write after getting my input.

Both documents are necessary. So I'm writing both. Heh. I just hope they don't decide to use the same deadline for the internal document that they gave me for the deliverable!

I need to get out and do something this weekend. I'm not sure what, but whatever it is needs to be out of the house. It'll be tricky, since the 7th Sea game is Saturday and we do the laundry on Sunday. But I have some ideas.

For one thing, I need to go up to Lowes and buy some bulbs and a couple of bales of mulch.

And then, of course, I'll have to plant said bulbs and spread the mulch. After digging out the mondo grass.

As long as I'm talking about gardening, I need to harvest the last of the tomatoes, pull up the rest of the carrots, and then get the vegetable bed ready for winter.

I should go to Target and get the things I need for my Hallowe'en costume.

I could always (gasp!) ride my bike a little.

We haven't seen my parents for weeks, so I'm sure they'd appreciate a visit Sunday afternoon.

There, that's a nice little list of things I can do this weekend.

Now if I can actually manage to get off my duff and do some of them...
