Last year: I promise to get that fixed A.S.A.P. And thanks to Jeff for bringing up the problem, though I didn't figure it out until two days later.

The advent calendar is back up and running for the year. I should find some new pictures, but I let the season slip up on me this year.

For that matter, the rest of the Christmas Toys page is there, but it was never taken down. I did disconnect the card exchange; almost no one signed up last year, and several cards I sent out were never reciprocated. If you'd like to exchange cards, you can mail me.

Well, the official word came back - I can not get my regular e-mail through the office's Exchange server. They've set it up to reject POP mail requests, unless you get permission from about four different people to use an account other than the company e-mail account.

Luckily, Yahoo will download POP mail for me, so I can get my mail as often as I remember to check. But those of you who are accustomed to getting mail from me during the day, don't be surprised if you start getting mail from my yahoo account.

Matt's office Christmas party is this weekend. It occurred to me just recently that I don't know if either of my two formal dresses fits. I think tonight I'll have to get Matt to help me try them on, because otherwise I'll need to shop for a dress while I'm out doing the Christmas shopping Thursday.

(It's technically a "semi-formal" party, but my clothes come in exactly three flavors: extremely casual; business casual; business formal; and formal.)

For that matter, it might be a good idea for me to shop for a nice black dress while I'm out anyway. It's one of those wardrobe staples that I haven't had since I got fat.

The perfect Christmas idea for my mother fell through. I was just about to place the order on Amazon when I noticed that this item "...ships within 4 to 6 weeks." Ack!

We're not exchanging presents with my parents until after we get back from Chicago, so if it arrived in 4 weeks, it would work - but I certainly don't want to bet on it!

Alas.

Now I have to find her something else. Hell, maybe I'll add my mom to the growing list of people who will be getting gift certificates from Barnes and Noble.
