4 February 2002

It's so hard to get started on Monday mornings. Hard to get out of bed; hard to decide what to wear; hard to figure out what to talk about here in my journal.

It was a slow weekend. We went out to dinner; spent a lot of time sitting around talking and/or goofing off on the computers; gamed a little; stayed up very late; did the laundry; and utterly avoided the Super Bowl.

That was pretty much it. No especially amusing anecdotes; no movies to review; no disasters to relate.

Matt was mildly bored, and says next weekend he wants to go to the movies or something - something to distinguish the weekends from the weekdays. I think all the time he's spending in D.C. is blurring things together. He's ready for this project to be done so he can come home.

Not that I can blame him in the slightest. I'm ready for him to come home, too. I've been handling this trip much better than his previous trips - probably mostly because he's home every weekend - but I'm getting a little tired of falling asleep and waking up alone.

By the way, fellow Hall addicts... as long as the main website is down, I've done some updating to my personal role-playing site, which is to say I cleaned out all my old files and posted all the old transcripts I could find on my computer - all the side sessions I've participated in, starting around February last year.

My next project: going through all the half-written fiction bits, organizing them, and then deciding whether to keep, finish, and post them; or delete them.

And then, because K.T. and I had entirely too much fun putting together a house for Kevil and Loria, I'll probably post that. Just to give me something to do, you know.

In the meantime... On Friday I gave my project manager the weekly draft of the document I'm writing for him and said, "I don't know what else needs to be done with this document. I need feedback here." He said he'd look it over and get it back to me.

I still haven't gotten it back, and it's somewhat unlikely that I'll hear from him until at least Wednesday, since he's at a convention, so I'm not really doing much of anything at work right now.

Go on, try to catch me complaining. You can bet your bippie that I'll be spending my days surfing and cutting corners on my hours...

(You know, I was here at 7 this morning. Eight hours after seven is three, isn't it?)
