6 February 2002

Another day of excitement and adventure! I did some work, I played some games, I finished reading my book, and I Halled.

Astonishingly enough, both my Hall sessions were done by eleven, and I was in bed before midnight! I know, I know - it's too crazy to be true, but it is!

...Oh, what joy. It looks like my internet connection is down. Again. Well, given how little I have to say today, it might be for the best.

Oh, wait; there it goes. But it looks like the Meade Hall server still hasn't come back up. Alas.

Let's see. The plan for today is to leave work and head down to Newport News. Spend a couple of hours in search of the Perfect Coffee Table (my parents promised Matt and I a coffee table for Christmas, but we have to pick it out - you can guess how much shopping we've done for it so far, can't you?) and then head over to K.T. and Kevin's around six-thirty.

The three of us are going to have dinner somewhere nice (courtesy of the unexpected windfall I had last week) and then go back to their place to watch a movie. Quigley Down Under, I think.

I'm finding that I really enjoy these Wednesday outings. It breaks the week up a little for me - instead of having to spend all week looking forward to Friday, I can spend the first half of the week looking forward to Wednesday.

K.T. asked if it was going to end when Matt's tour of duty in D.C. was done. I asked Matt - he's looking forward to resuming the previous Wednesday night ritual, which was for Colleen to come over and watch West Wing with us. Or for him to play basketball, when the league is playing.

But actually getting out of the house breaks up the week for me a little better. We might well just go our separate ways on Wednesdays. As long as Matt promises to tape West Wing for me.

Well. Now that I've completely bored you as well as me... Go read something else.
