Hey, look, it's K.T.'s birthday! Happy birthday, K.T.!

And for everyone else: Happy May Day!

Yesterday was the day of the stupid programming mistakes. After figuring out in the shower that the reason I was pulling information from the database with the day before the month was because that's how I'd told it to (and after looking at the code without realizing it at least half a dozen times) I made another major programming goof that most of us get drilled out of us in basic programming. (For those of you who actually program: I forgot to break out of a case in a switch statement.)

Of course, I was a little distracted. My eyesight has been getting noticeably fuzzy just lately. I'd say I need new glasses - heck, I do need new glasses - but the recent spike in vision problems tends to come and go, which makes me think it's related to something else. The aliens living in my brain, perhaps.

The obsession continues...

I spent the whole half-hour or so of my weekly staff meeting yesterday writing a little story, except for the two minutes my own report took. Of course, I really doubt I can be blamed for that... Status update meetings are unbearably boring, and entirely useless to everyone except the managers.

Then I spent most of the afternoon, and the entire evening, playing with K.T. and Karen until K.T. got bumped and couldn't log back in.

Oh, yes, Karen's hooked, too. You knew she would be.

Karen tried to be evilbad to me last night, too:
