9 May 2002

It's a rainy day. Rain only increases my desire to sleep in. Unfortunately, between yesterday's morning-muncher of a meeting and the fact that I've been a little slack for the first half of this week, I have quite a bit of work to do before the week ends, so dozing at my desk is Right Out.

We're going with K.T. and Kevin tonight to see Spider-Man. I hope it's good. I've heard good things, but Spiderman has never been my favorite super hero. Well, we'll see. It should at least be fun for special effects. (I just have to get past the whole "spider bite" scene in the beginning. Luckily, both Matt and K.T. can be counted on to tell me truthfully when it's safe to uncover my eyes.)

The voices in my head...I put together a quick page for my favorite regular NPCs - just a paragraph of description for each of them, really.

Kevin said, "They are played by a player, aren't they? So they're not NPCs; they're player characters! They deserved their own pages!"

Kevin Hicks, ladies and gentlemen: No Help At All.

I just sat here for ten minutes straight staring at the skin that's peeling on my thumb. I think I need to go in search of coffee, and then try to get some work done. At least I'm done making up the missed time from my doctor's appointment Monday, so I can go home at four. Maybe I'll catch a quick nap before we go down to meet for the movie tonight.

Yeah, right.

Oh, I almost forgot! Jeff is defending his doctoral thesis this afternoon around 1:30! Everyone think happywarmfuzzy thoughts for Jeff today!

Good luck, Jeff! Just think: You're this close to getting the hell out of there!
