17 May 2002 Yep, it's morning again all right. And here I am, with my four and a half hours of sleep. I actually feel less inclined to put my head down and take a nap than usual, but by the same token, I'm so scatterbrained, I can't even type a complete sentence before I wander off (mentally, at least.) My knee doesn't hurt very much at all this morning. I'm hoping it's a sign of recovery, but I'm still treating it with kid gloves, so to speak. My hip hurts that much more by contrast, but I'm almost positive that the hip's pain is only the result of limping for over a month. Gods, I'm turning into an old person. A pathetic lame geek gamer old person. Someone save me.
When the news had been shared, it was still a fairly short session, so I suggested we invite Jeff and Karen on to the channel to share the news with the rest of the party. That might have been a mistake, since Temire couldn't even get the word "congratulations" all the way out before she thought of a potentially depressing wrinkle. (I won't get into it, since explaining it would involve laying out the entire plot for you. You're welcome.) It doesn't matter too much, though, since - as I told Jeff - Kevil's more than happy enough for everyone in the party. And most of Marsember, too, if it comes to that. He's wanted to be a father since before he was old enough to accomplish it. He's so deliriously happy that he hasn't even started worrying yet about the dangers of their situation. Much. |
