Busy busy busy weekend.

Jeff got to town around 8:30 on Friday. We celebrated with a short but emotionaly intense Hall session and a viewing of Young Frankenstein.

Saturday we went down to K.T.'s for lunch and some shopping (once again, K.T. and I bought exactly the same shirt) and proceded to hang out and talk for a long time. Kevin came home from work, and we continued to sit around and talk. We got up and wandered around to talk for a bit, then sat and talked some more.

Jeff admitted to having never seen Shrek, so we popped that in the DVD player. Matt - too restless to watch a movie - went over to Colleen's, where they watched a movie. (No, I don't get it, either.)

Kevin got tired and went to bed (he gets up at 4AM to go to work) so K.T. and Jeff and I moved outside. Eventually Matt came back, and the bunch of us sat on the playground at K.T.'s apartment complex talking. We expected Karen to make her arrival around 2:30.

At about 1:30, I went into the apartment to throw out some trash and use the bathroom. As I crossed to the kitchen, a dark shape came up the hallway from the bedroom. Kevin, I thought, wanting a glass of water or something. Then I stopped. It wasn't Kevin.

It was Karen, who had somehow gotten past our (admittedly sketchy) watch from the playground. We helped her bring her stuff in, then went back outside and talked some more. Eventually, Matt and Jeff and I went back home.

Sunday, we spent pretty much all day Halling: The end of the Loria's Quest plot. Big battle. I played four and a half characters, three of whom were simply swamped with angst. I was a little tense. After it ended, K.T. and Karen came over, and we all sat around and talked until about three in the morning. (Except Matt, who went to bed early. Being tired and all. Tired! Bah!)

Yesterday we had another session, heavily emotionally intense for K.T. and Karen; less so for me. After that, we went out to dinner. Karen had had an unexpected windfall due to some strange insurance thing at her work (I could explain it, actually, but it doesn't really matter) and had determined to take everyone out to dinner.

So, voila! We all went out to dinner at Carmela's. K.T., Kevin, Colleen, Carl, Matt, Jeff, Karen, and myself. I think we frightened the other patrons a little, but we had fun. (And after agonizing between the Pollo Michele and the Tuscany salad, I picked the wrong thing. Alas. Oh, well, it only means I'll have to go back again soon, so I can get the right thing!)

Now I'm back at work - but only for two days, as I'm taking Thursday and Friday off, yay!

Now, if only I can get all the work done today and tomorrow that needs to be done by the end of the week!
