4 June 2002 Oops. I was supposed to go to the dentist yesterday afternoon to have a cracked filling replaced, and I completely forgot. Guess I'll have to call and reschedule. Guess that'll teach me not to put stuff on my calendar. There's not much to talk about today. My part of my project at work is winding down - I just have some database forms to write, and then I'll need to support the testing. My supervisor, when he gets back into the office on Thursday, is going to give me some documentation to write for another project. Won't that be exciting? No, not really, but I'm good at it. Matt and I have decided to move our official grocery shopping day to Tuesdays. It was Sunday for a long time, because we had to buy a Sunday newspaper in order to get the week's TV Guide. When we started getting the Sunday paper delivered, we switched to Mondays, because they were less hectic. Just lately, Mondays have become swamped. So: Tuesdays. (Isn't this just fascinating? I knew you'd be thrilled.) I also told my parents I'd drop in and visit them tonight. Despite living only twenty miles away, I don't think we've been to see them for something like a month. My mom told me that there are things waiting for me, too - my grandmother is slowly clearing out her house, sending things to her descendants. About a year ago, she'd asked me if I wanted a "fondue set" and I'd accepted, thinking a fondue party might be kind of fun. She sent me... the plates and forks. Now, my mother tells me, she's sent along the pot, so now I can actually have the party sometime. Along with a set of bedsheets that Mom tells me I'm probably not going to want. Whee! I know, I know, my life just seems more exciting by the minute, doesn't it? |
