Picture of the Day

I have this button taped to the door to my office. It seems appropriate.

The saga of the AirPort card, in case you missed last night's blog post, appears to have ended, not with a bang or even a whimper, but with a soft sigh of resignation.

Threatened with a trip to the repair shop, it started working again. I was online for over six hours after work yesterday, and the only problem I had was when some software I installed locked up on me and I had to reboot the computer. Which has nothing whatsoever to do with my connectivity.

Problems I don't understand upset me. And it makes me exceedingly nervous when they fix themselves, because it means I have no assurance at all that they won't come back.

Then again, I'm not complaining. So fuggit.

My keys, by the way were in fact at the Chinese takeout place. I stopped by at lunch and picked them up. No sweat.

I spent some time last night moving my writing and RPG sites to Jeremy's server, and putting up forwarding pages on the old mac.com pages.

And then I remembered that I had been using my mac.com e-mail address as links on all those pages, so I fixed and then re-uploaded most of them.

I am not, however, going back to change all the links in my journal archives. Dead links happen in archives. It's just one of those things.

But in case you had those pages bookmarked, and you haven't already heard:

September Again was moved to http://ebrooks.confusticate.com/writing/, and the RPG page was moved to http://ebrooks.confusticate.com/RPG/. The old mac.com websites have been deleted, and even the forwarding pages will disappear when Apple takes down my iTools account at the end of September.

Many thanks to Jeremy for providing me with a new space.

I know it's Friday. But this week has dragged terrible. I haven't done that thing where I think it's a different day than it actually is, but on Wednesday I thought it should be Thursday, and yesterday I thought it should be Friday, just because I felt like I'd been here long enough.

So it kind of feels like I'm stuck at work on a Saturday right now.

Aside from it sucking, I'm a little curious to see how long the sensation will last.

Have a good weekend, and I'll see you on Monday!
