29 August 2002 There was something I was going to talk about today. I distinctly remember thinking, yesterday, Well, there's tomorrow's journal entry. Except, of course, that I can't for the life of me remember what was happening or what I was thinking about to cause that thought. I guess I'm just getting senile, here, in my old age. I could tell you about the work I've been doing for the novel, except I haven't done much. Only about two thousand words this week. Kind of pathetic. I need to stop letting myself get so distracted. (It doesn't help that I actually have work to do at work, either. How dare they interrupt my writing career with the work they actually pay me to do??!?) Brain... shutting... down... It's going to be either a long, unproductive day, or a day that goes by startlingly quickly - but still unproductive. Maybe some coffee will improve my perspective. But Monday's a holiday! Yippeeee!!!!! Which means I may not be posting again until Tuesday. Thanks to a doctor's appointment, I won't be in to work until late tomorrow. So keep an eye on the blog. And if you're really bored, you can go play darts with some gnomes. |
