Hey, it's the brother's birthday! I'm pretty sure he doesn't read here, but Happy Birthday anyway!

I should try to remember to call him tonight.

Well, work should be simple today. I actually finished laying out my report yesterday - I have one itty bitty change to make today, and I promised Random I'd help him with the stuff he didn't know how to do. And then this afternoon or - more likely - tomorrow, we'll have a meeting with our task leader and the project leader to decide which layout we'll be using. (Random and I came up with two different layouts. They both have merits and flaws; it's up to the project leader to decide which one she'd rather use.) But changing layout is pretty simple.

Maybe I'll be able to throw on some headphones and get some actual writing done. It's so crazy, it just might work.

Or maybe I'll just sit here being easily distracted by whatever weird little things happen to pop into my head. It seems more likely...

I've had the weirdest craving for moo shu pork lately... Maybe I'll poke around on Epicurious and see if I can find a recipe.

Or maybe I'll just go to our local Chinese take-out place for dinner.

I can remember, when I was little, my parents went through a phase of making Chinese food at home. It didn't last especially long, but I assume that's where I learned to like it. I could eat Chinese food for five meals out of a week and not get tired of it. I ought to cook it more often; it's fairly healthy food and usually pretty easy to make. I even have an electric wok that my parents gave me when I moved out on my own.

(Of course, it would help if Matt and I liked the same vegetables. Onions are fine, but I don't like green peppers at all and I'm not very excited about snow peas or mushrooms; Matt doesn't like broccoli and prefers carrots raw over cooked. He's also not the biggest fan of water chestnuts or bamboo shoots, which I think are marvelous.)

But it's still a thought. Maybe I'll research some recipes and get some ideas.

(What did I say a little bit ago about getting distracted?)

Ah, well. First: finish the itty-bitty bit of actual work.
