4 November 2002 Well, here we are. Monday again. My birthday is coming up this weekend, but I don't know that there'll be much to commemorate it. I think we're going out to dinner with my parents, but most everything else is waiting on next weekend, when Rachel is coming down to do her birthday, mine, and Matt's all in one fell swoop. Maybe as a present to myself, I'll go out for lunch every day this week. Or something. Jeff came up to town this weekend, but he stayed with K.T. and Kevin, so we didn't get to see much of him. We went out to dinner with them Friday and Saturday evenings, made Jeff watch Fight Club Saturday night, and that was pretty much it... Matt and K.T. spent most of Sunday morning/early afternoon working on a Hall session, and K.T. apparently missed me asking her if they had plans for dinner, so we didn't see them Sunday at all. I spent most of the weekend playing Diablo II and trying to think of how to organize the bit I'm currently working on for the novel. I didn't get anywhere with the novel, but my Diablo character gained about four levels. (By the way, let me just mention that the sound effects for the Blood Golem are really disgusting.) Work promises to be almost absurdly boring this week. I'll be prepping my code for review - which I started last week - and actually doing the review (which might be next week, actually) and that's about it. Except that the other company's code that I need to use will be coming in eventually (probably late Friday afternoon) and I'll have to integrate that. Depending on how they're doing it, that could take half an hour, or it could take most of a day. Whee... Hurry up and wait. Long periods of boredom punctuated by brief moments of sheer terror. Something like that. Thank the gods for my iPod, and the novel. |
