December 2002

It feels good. I feel good. Despite the lingering scent of dead fish and Lysol in my office.
I guess it's a day for random thoughts.
But all the same, I'm beginning to get a little nervous.
I have some words to eat. I swore it wouldn't snow here before January.
So far it seems to be working reasonably well, but it's awfully loud.
So, all in all - it could have been worse. But it definitely could have been a better day.
It's two weeks to Christmas. I want my mother to be home for it.
What's that Black Adder quote? "We are as private parts to the gods: they sport with us for their pleasure." Something like that.
But I'm beginning to have hope that she might be home for Christmas.
It just doesn't seem fair to have to follow up a weekend like that with having to go to work, though.
Now, if I could just get organized enough to plan Christmas dinner...
And K.T. gave us our Christmas cookies, too! Whoo-hoo!
(For that matter, how much actual work is going to be done today and tomorrow? Not a lot, let me tell ya.)
I'm making my plans for the next few days.
But who cares! I'm only working one day, and then I have three off! One of which is Christmas!
Betcha didn't expect to hear from me today! Ta-daa!!! Surprise!
Sleep. I think the theme for today, boys and girls, is: Sleep.
This is technology. This is science. This is what we do.
