6 January 2003

Yep, that was a weekend, I'm pretty sure of it.

We spent a lot of time sitting around doing nothing. Watched DVDs. Played video games. Chatted online. Went over to K.T. and Kevin's for dinner on Saturday. Went shopping. Slept in late. Made cookies. Did the laundry.

Like that. Pretty standard weekend. Nothing exciting happened, either good or bad, and I spent about half my time in this pregnancy-induced state of catatonia.

Boy, I'll be glad when February gets here and I move into the second trimester. The books keep promising me that I'll wake up then. I have to hope they're right, or else I'm just going to fall into a Sleeping Beauty sort of coma, waking up only after I'm delivered. And while the thought of sleeping through a summer pregnancy has a certain appeal, I'm fairly certain I wouldn't still be employed by the time I woke up.

Of course, there are other reasons to look forward to the approach of spring. I woke up at five this morning with the worst case of dry-skin itchies I've ever had. It kept me awake until about - naturally - five minutes before the alarm went off.

Also, I'm hoping that at least some of those tulips I planted last October will come up.

But the radio was threatening us with snow tonight or tomorrow.

Hurry up, spring!
