18 February 2003

It seems to me to be a forgiveable lapse.

After all, I woke up at 4:30 this morning, and couldn't go back to sleep. And then at about 5:30, I actually went back to sleep while dreaming that I gave up and got up - and then moved into a house at the beach with six other people, taking my conceited, arrogant asshole of an ex-boyfriend with me. (Though in my defense, I threw him out again before the alarm went off.)

The dream wouldn't let me go - I'd wake up enough to smack the snooze on the alarm, think, Oh, thank the gods that wasn't real, and then be right back in the dream.

Once I got up and dressed, I had to go outside and chip ice off my car. (I hate ice. Why couldn't we have gotten snow?) In that process, I discovered that the slug I'd noticed on the hood of my car after getting home from K.T.'s Saturday night was still there, encased in about a half-inch of ice. Ew.

After all that, I'm pleased that I managed to remember to bring my new desk lamp to work at all! So I think it's perfectly forgiveable that I forgot to also bring a lightbulb to put in the lamp, don't you?

We had a good long weekend. Very lazy. I did some editing with K.T., and some laundry with Matt, and otherwise we pretty much spent the weekend lazing around. K.T. got some thrilling news. At least, I'm thrilled. I expect K.T. is still feeling a little... weird about the whole thing. I know it took me a while to get over that feeling.

And now I'm back at work, though I'd rather still be at home, snuggled into a warm, cozy bed.

But that's hardly news.
