Another doctor's appointment today. Nothing really special for this one; the standard check-up to make sure I haven't turned anemic or come up with gestational diabetes or gained (or lost) an absurd amount of weight. I think (but am not sure) that we'll meet one of the other doctors in the practice this go-round. The only item of interest is that I think this is the trip where they'll offer us the choice of taking the alpha-feta protein test.

So, no pictures this month. Around the end of March, they'll have us do a second ultrasound, and that one should show something that actually looks like a baby. And, hopefully, tell us the gender. That'll be exciting.

I actually got work to do at work yesterday. Mostly filing things and then pulling things from the files, but since I'm unfamiliar with the filing system, it wasn't too boring. And the stuff I pulled was in preparation for another project, so hopefully that will be interesting.

But by the virtue of having something to do, yesterday went pretty quickly.

And I went home and lunch and got a lightbulb for my desk lamp, so I'm not suffering the headache effects of fluorescent lights anymore, thank heavens. The one lamp is a little dim, though - it's fine if I'm working right at my desk, but not quite enough light to be comfortable in the filing cabinet. So I think I'm going to need to go back to Target this weekend and get myself a second lamp

Which is fine, because there are a couple of other things I need, anyway, that I forgot this weekend.

Am I being random enough for you?

And now my stomach is growling - again - so it's time to go have breakfast. I hope the doctor doesn't keep us waiting long. The appointment is scheduled right across my second breakfast.

(I swear, I'm turning into a hobbit. Breakfast at 8, second breakfast at 10, elevenses, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner, evening snack...)

Wow... I think that noise was my stomach threatening to climb out and start gnawing on my leg, so I'd better wrap it up.
