Weekend? Did we have a weekend? I must have missed it.

Nah, actually, I had a pretty good weekend. They just seem to keep getting shorter and shorter. I know, I know - I haven't seen anything yet.

But Friday, when I got home, I stopped in the yard to take a look at the mulch bed, and I found a few little green spikes, just barely peeking out of the ground - so all my tulips that I planted last fall didn't die over the winter, after all! I hope they turn out pretty.

I went down to K.T.'s on Saturday to edit, but she was still getting over a cold, so we only got through one chapter. This week, we're back to editing on Fridays. We're not sure if we're going to try to make up the missed chapter, or just go back to doing two at a time. Guess it depends on how quickly we get through the two.

After that, we met the Brandts for dinner. Emma was her usual adorable self, but she was bored and restless and insisted on one parent or the other getting up and walking around the restaurant with her. Toward the end, I think she must have led Kris on at least half a dozen circuits of the place before we finally gave up and headed for home.

We spent Sunday at home, lounging around, doing laundry, watching movies, reading books, and Halling.

I know, I know - you wish you lived my exciting life.

Pregnancy update: Within the next few weeks, I should feel the first flutters of movement. I'm looking forward to feeling something in there that isn't a stretching ligament or shifting organ.

In the meantime, I haven't precisely begun to "show" yet - at least, my belly isn't any bigger than it's been for years. But the shape of it is changing slightly, shifting upwards. I still figure it will be April before an unbiased observer will confidently be able to say I'm pregnant, as opposed to just fat, but I think I'll be ready for some maternity tops in the next few weeks.

Guess I need to get my patootie in gear and order some, huhn?
