Wow. It's been a long time since I stayed up until 1 in the morning for a Hall session. But Karen's not going to be around on Wednesday, which is the only other night this week that I'm available. I'm not as tired as I thought I would be, this morning, but we'll see how the day progresses, hmm? Anyway, it was a good session. At least, I enjoyed it. The only big problem with being up so late is that by the time I was going to bed, dinner had worn off, and my stomach was grumbling as I went up the stairs. (I find recently that I'm really not able to ignore mild hunger for very long - it grows very swiftly into full-scale stomach rumblings. Practice for the baby to come, I guess. At least now I can sleep through hunger. That will be ending as soon as the baby arrives, if not sooner.) I didn't eat anything before bed - no better way to stick myself with heartburn and/or insomnia than to eat just as I'm climbing into bed - and I managed to sleep the night through with no problems. But the instant my eyes opened this morning... GrrrrOAWwwwOAWwwwrrrRRRRROAWwwww! Was that thunder? Was it raining outside? Oh, no. Just my stomach. So. K.T.'s game tonight. Despite our talky tendencies last week, we managed to negotiate a temporary truce between the orcs and the ogres. So hopefully this week, we can negotiate some griffin feathers before our butts get beaked. And Amara can continue trying to figure out how to communicate with her new henchman, as neither of them speak a language the other knows, and it'll probably be a few games before either of them earns a new proficiency slot. Now, if y'all will excuse me, there's some breakfast here with my name written all over it... |
Last Year: Then we lost my mom, and had a merry adventure trying to find her, and then we all went to dinner.
