Halfway. I am halfway through this pregnancy. Of course, since I'm using the Stupid Doctor Scale, that includes two weeks (or so) where I was not, in fact, actually pregnant, and another two weeks where I was but didn't know it yet. Add to that the fact that I'm just now starting to get big enough to show and feel awkward, and that I've only just begun to feel the baby moving - much less kicking, punching, or hooking his toes under my ribs - and I'm pretty sure this second half will feel about eight times longer than the first. I had a lovely, lazy, not-do-much-of-anything weekend. We stayed in Friday - I even cooked! - and relaxed. Saturday, Matt went to a baseball game with Braz (and Emma and Jeremy, who were somewhat less excited about it, I think) while I stayed home and opened the windows and Halled. After Matt got home, we picked up K.T. and took her to the drugstore, since Kevin was out late, and then went to Friday's for dinner. Sunday, Matt went to help Braz pick up some flooring, and I read and did laundry. Then I joined them for lunch. After Matt and I got home, we spent the afternoon and evening Halling some more. We watched some of the Oscars, and eventually I went to bed. It was nice. Slow. Lazy. I slept in a lot. (Yay, sleep!) I should have done some more packing, but didn't get around to it. I did spend some time working on John's webpage, but since the host server was down most of the weekend, I didn't get the changes uploaded. (If I'd been a little more awake when I got up this morning, I'd have set it up to do the upload before I left work. Oh, well.) And the weather is finally turning nice - still a little nippy at night, but clear, beautiful 60s and low 70s during the day. Ah... If only I thought it would stay like this for more than two weeks. In any case, it was a nice weekend, and I would be all rested and ready to go today, except that I woke up at quarter to five and couldn't really go back to sleep. |
