First things first: Happy Birthday, Jeff!

Oh. That insomnia.

I can't even blame this one on the switch to Daylight Savings. I didn't get to sleep until after 2:30, and in the three and a half hours before the alarm started going off, I had to get up to go to the bathroom twice. I thought the decreased bladder capability didn't hit again until the third trimester. I'm supposed to have another month, dammit!

(I swear, by mid-July I'm going to be in diapers.)

On the plus side, I made good use of my afternoon yesterday to get my new car all brought up to speed. I took it by the dealership to get the oversensitive sensor replaced (keep your fingers crossed that this actually fixes the problem that was making the engine light come on) and while I was there they put my new license plates on.

(This is the first set of new license plates I've had since I got my first car for $650 back in '90. I hope I won't have too much trouble memorizing them.)

On my way down to the county office, I refilled my gas tank for the first time. Whoo.

The county office got me squared away pretty quick, so now my car is all legal. I have license plates that are registered with DMV until next April and I've got my county sticker on the windshield to verify that the county knows about my car.

The next step is to make arrangements to have the Cavalier inspected and fixed so I can sell it. I'll call to make an appointment for that today. The sooner I can take it off my tax roll (kind of negligible) and insurance (actually significant), and get it out of my driveway, the better.

Of course, before I turn the car over to Colleen, I'll have to clear it out.

Most of what's in there can go straight into the dumpster, but there are things I need to keep.

The recharger for my cell phone. My sunglasses. My ice scraper. My emergency reflector doohickey kit that's never been used in the ten years since my parents gave it to me. My rear-view-mirror dangly. Like that.

Yeah, at this point I'm not even writing a journal entry anymore. I'm just thinking out loud. That four hours of sleep is catching up with me quick. Gonna be a long day. Here's hoping things stay just a bit slow...

Last Year: Yes, it was a good vacation. Yes, I wrote in a paper journal, but I'm not going to transcribe any of it. Why?
