Yay, weekend! Boo, Monday! That about sums it up. Can I go now? No? Oh. Well, fine. Let's see... It was a very Hall-y weekend. Friday... After we picked up the Cavalier (I got off surprisingly light - just three burned-out lights that had to be replaced in order to make inspection), Matt and I got a takeout pizza (my favorite - Hawai'ian) from Papa John's, and we Halled with K.T. Saturday I slept in late, then went over to K.T.'s to do novel editing. (Which originated with the Hall, even if it's grown out of those confines.) After the editing, we went shopping. I picked up some new maternity clothes - I'm building the wardrobe a few pieces at a time. It hurts less that way. We went over to Best Buy so K.T. could pick up Harry Potter II. And we stopped in Target to look at clothes, but I didn't see anything I liked. After the shopping was done, we called Matt and he came down and the three of us went to Applebee's for dinner. Where we talked about (among other things) the Hall. Sunday was pretty slow. I slept in absurdly late, and then got up and puttered around for a while. For reasons unknown to me, the Particle decided to spend the whole day being squirmy and kicky. (You knew there had to be a baby update in here somewhere.) Alas, we discovered it's not kicking quite hard enough yet for Matt to feel it. I can feel it on the outside, but I guess that's because I know exactly where the kicks are coming. Oh, well. It won't be long, I'm sure. I spent the afternoon and evening feeling absurdly restless. It resulted in a few good things. I cleaned out the Cavalier and moved all the stuff I want to keep into the Prius. I paid my bills (including that first car payment... ow...). Matt and I went up into the computer room and spent an hour sorting through filing cabinets and comics and packing stuff and throwing stuff out. I got the laundry finished and mostly put away. I made dinner, even though it was Matt's night to cook. But I also spent a lot of time pacing and playing brainless computer games and not feeling any better for it. I hate it when I'm that restless. I wonder if I should blame it on the pregnancy (why not?) or on the fact that I was really deeply rested for the first time in weeks? When Karen got home from work, she and Matt and K.T. had - guess! - a Hall session. I was sort of peripherally involved, at the very beginning and the very end, so I hung around and watched the rest like a fly on the wall. It was a good session, but we didn't wrap it up until well-past midnight. And then I was too keyed up to get to sleep right away. I think I got about five hours. When I rolled out of bed this morning, I felt surprisingly awake (the gods of sleep deprivation have not abandoned me!) but I've been up less than two hours, and already I'm starting to yawn. It's gonna be a long day. But what the heck! There's more Halling to be done! |
