The air conditioning is fixed! Yay!

Well, at least we think it's fixed. The guy came out and installed a new switch and topped off the freon, and it's been running fine since then. I swear, we have more trouble with that stupid heat pump unit...

Yesterday was pretty slow. Slow at work, slow afternoon, slow evening... Surprisingly slow Hall, at least for me.

And I was drifting off to sleep in my chair before the Hall started. I managed to stay up and be sociable for about ten minutes after it ended, but finally I just couldn't take it anymore, and I logged out and went to bed early.

Which turned out to be a good move. I actually managed to get through the night and only wake up once. I didn't have to shift into an upright (sitting) position or anything.

I usually move around a lot in my sleep, but the options for moving are pretty limited when you're pregnant - and I have to wake up completely to change positions. So the fact that I only woke up once means that I spent the last three or four hours in more or less precisely the same position. When I woke up, I was so stiff I could barely move.

And the baby had another growth spurt or something overnight, because I got winded trying to get dressed this morning. I had to stop and rest after everything.

Get a shirt and underthings out of the closet and put them on the bed. Stop and lean against the bed and breathe for a bit. Walk across the room to get my pants and put them on the bed. Sit on the edge of the bed and breathe. Get my underwear on - and that's a major undertaking, as it involves bending over while lifting a leg off the floor, so I have to actually lie down for a minute or so to recover from that.

Like that. It's almost a good thing the cat woke us up early. I'm still a little winded. I guess it will come as a relief after all when the baby drops.

All I can say is, I'm glad it's a kind of slow week at work. I don't think I could do anything fast if I had to. Gonna be a fun month...
