Happy Hallowe'en
I'm still employed. Actually, they didn't lay anyone off yesterday. Four people were put on furlough for the next four weeks. That is, they won't be getting paid for the next four weeks, and if we've gotten some more work by then, they'll come back. Here's hoping. After sleeping all night, Penny spent most of yesterday sleeping, too. She woke up around 6 to eat, and stayed awake until about 8:30, and then conked out again. I'm a little worried about all this sleeping, but it could be because she's still at the tail end of this cold, or because she's approaching a growth spurt. There's also the possibility of early teething. She's been drooling like a champ for a couple of days, and recently she's started gnawing on Matt's knuckle if he puts it within range of her mouth - hard enough to elicit a few startled "Ow!"s from him. She doesn't seem fussy or in pain, so I don't think she's actually teething yet, but it sure looks like she's practicing.
And, of course, there's the possibility that she's spending a lot of time awake at daycare. So I won't really worry yet. But if she's still sleeping that much over the weekend, I'll probably be calling the doctor again on Monday. Have a Happy Hallowe'en. Don't lose your head, and I'll see you in November! |
