It's not going to be a good writing week, I can tell.

I spent most of yesterday squinting at some absurdly tiny font on a spreadsheet printout and wading through my QA files and database.

From time to time I would surface, if only to soothe the headache I was getting from the tiny font, and I would read a few pages from Arabian Nights. ('Ala al-Din got his princess, I'm sure you'll be relieved to know. I kept waiting for the grand vizier, who they were setting up as a major bad guy, to do something nasty, but he never did. Did you know that 'Ala al-Din and the Magic Lamp is actually supposedly set in China?)

Hrm. I seem to have tangented. Anyway, I would read a few pages, and then I would try to write some, but I just can't make this character's voice bubble to the surface when my brain is occupied with all this process junk. And that's just about all I'm doing this week.

Ah, well. K.T. is packing, so I doubt she'll be able to get much written, either.

Damn real life, anyway.

For those of you who wonder if I ever put down the camera long enough to hold Penny myself, I have proof! (I turned the camera over to Matt, instead.)

'Reading' a book

That's a favorite book, there, for both Penny and me. She likes it because she can get a grip on the pages and chew on them. I like it because there's a handle on the spine, so I can let her play with the book to her heart's content without risking it being dropped (or flung) on the floor.

And Matt introduced Penny last night to the magic of bubbles.

BUBBLES!
