Penny finally seems to be over the stomach uck, at least mostly. Now it'll take a few days to convince her to eat again. I sure hope she doesn't get this again. She's reluctant enough to take solid food as it is. She did do a cool thing last night, though. She woke up at 3 and took a bottle, and was back in her crib by 3:15. At four, she woke up wailing - but before Matt and I could even sit all the way up, she was quiet again. Self-soothing. Yay, Penny! (Well, I'm not convinced she woke all the way up anyway. She might've just wailed in her sleep. I'll take what I can get.) I finally got the taxes done yesterday. Whoo! Damn, but having a baby is good for your taxes! Of course, we're going to be putting the largest chunk of our tax return into Penny's college fund. And the rest of it is going to be used to finally get our deck built. (Well, that's the plan. We'll see how it goes.) But we might save out a couple hundred or so to give ourselves some "mad money." Though really, there's nothing much that I want, at the moment. (Except maybe a big ol' bag of chips and a handful of chocolate bars. Dieting sucks.) Don't feel much like talking today. I'm not in a bad mood, just too tired and distracted to focus. A little sleepy from the wake-ups during the night. A little sleepy since my lamp's bulb blew this morning and it's dim in my office. A little distracted with half a hundred little tasks that need to be done. A little distracted with a book that I started yesterday and want to dive back into. A little distracted with the gorgeous weather and the desire to be outside. |
Last Year: I'll take good moods however they come.
