Yesterday marked the first day of our annual Pollen Festival!

All the trees and flowers in our area have obviously been working extra hard to bring us the most exciting, colorful Pollen Festival in years. Matt and I emerged from the house yesterday morning to find everything coated with a gorgeous yellow dust.

It's enough to bring tears to my eyes, and get me all choked up...

And, of course, there are the benefits.

For example, the ultra-sexy throat-cancer-victim voice I've got at the moment. It's a real attention getter!

And Penny is just delighted! The Pollen Festival has her so excited, she refused to lay down for bed last night. We finally had to compromise on letting her sleep in her carseat.

(I hate allergy season. Yep, I do.)
