La-la-la good weekend.

Okay, Friday night was rough. Rougher than rough. But the rest of the weekend was pretty great. My folks came over Friday evening to admire the deck (and see Penny) and we went out to dinner with them and that was good. And Saturday we lounged around the house and were lazy and I even Halled. And Sunday, Jenn came over and we dragged her around with us as we did chores and errands, and generally enjoyed chatting, and she won many points with Matt and I by being completely enthralled by Penny, and we went out to eat and I had lovely wonderful yummy steak for dinner, and that was pretty damn good, too.

And you know, now that I think about it, Friday night was rough, and Penny was kind of fussy for most of the day Saturday (because she went to bed some three hours later than usual Friday, we suspect, and was short on sleep, and who isn't grouchy when they're sleep-deprived?) until after she caught a two-hour nap...

Wow. Run-on sentence. Anyway, now that I think about it, the weekend had a fair number of lows to highlight the highs, but I think because Sunday was so good for me, it just kind of washed a nice, rosy glow over the rest of it.

Though it turns out that I was pretty distracted yesterday, because I forgot to get several things at the store, and I forgot to actually boil my eggs that I usually have for breakfast after we got home from the store, so I may need to walk over to the convenience store around the corner for an afternoon snack, and stop at the grocery store on the way home, and dammit, I forgot Matt was supposed to take the checkbook with him today so he could pick up Penny's school pictures. Damn damn damn.

Well, it's a Monday... So much for the rosy glow. Hrmph.

(Though really, if that's all I can come up with to complain about today, then things aren't too bad.)
