July 2004

  I almost fell over laughing.
Whoo! Long weekend, here I come!
And then Matt and I went out to dinner, at which I tried to keep my diet cheating to a minimum, and almost succeeded.
Bah, forget it. I'm not worth talking to, today.
All I can say, based on what we saw last night, is that it's very, very... French.
  Grammar lesson time.
Penny made a fine and wonderful discovery this weekend.
So I'm at work half an hour earlier than usual, gearing myself up into Uberbitch mode.
I swear to god, it's like herding cats.
Penny took her first steps yesterday.
  Don't panic! I'll be back!
I'll take what I can get, though. Yay, sleep!
I took the whole day off, and Matt took off the afternoon.
When I opened the door, she looked up and broke into a huge smile.
It should be a nice, calm, lazy weekend.
Nothing mysterious about that, for sure.
You may brace for more unapologetic mommy-glurge as Penny's birthday approaches.
I was in the fifth grade, and concepts like personal space didn't really exist.
My first impressions of people are almost always dead wrong.
Penny looked up at me for a few seconds, then lifted one hand and waved at me.
