Ow. Owowow.

I don't know what I did to my shoulder, but it hurts.

Let's just pretend that I overworked it at the gym, shall we? Because the alternative is that I wrenched it while I was swinging at the playground, and that's just too embarrassing to consider.

I'm feeling really good about my writing lately, and I've been far more productive than I thought I'd be. I finished cleaning up the last chapter of Silver and Green last night - I'll post it for K.T. to read this morning, and that will be that.

Which is not to say that I'll be done. There are several section prologues left to write - we're creating myths and legends for those. I have at least two more of those to write. They're a little tougher, because they need not only a story, but they should capture the feel of the culture they're illustrating.

And I want to go back and re-work some of the earlier stuff. There are a couple of chapters that make me cringe when I read them.

But it feels good to have the largest bulk of it done.

Now, maybe I can get Willow Bough re-started.

I tried Penny on some shredded cheddar cheese last night, and she seemed to like it. At least, she ate several more shreds.

But the shreds were difficult for her still-uncoordinated fingers to manage, so I think when I go to the grocery store this week, I'll pick up some good ol' processed sliced cheese, and see what she thinks of that.

If she likes cheese well enough, maybe I'll be able to convince her to eat some green vegetables, if I cover them with melted cheese. That was the only way I would eat broccoli, up into high school. I can live with that.

We're still trying to find some kind of table-food meat for her, though. Sometimes she'll eat chicken, if I've cooked it in tomatoes, but so far, that's been the only kind of meat she's been willing to put in her own mouth. Maybe I should just try her on bits of chicken nuggets with ketchup.

Daycare's getting into the act, though - they asked Matt if it would be all right if they tried Penny on bits of whatever they're serving the toddlers for lunch. Matt told them to feel free, though he warned them that she's got a gag reflex like a professional bulemic. Especially when it comes to green beans.

We'll see.
