I'm wearing maternity pants today. No, don't panic. They never fit well as maternity pants; I think the company that sold them to me was just taking extra-large pants with an elastic waistband and passing them off as maternity pants. They're not really built with the extra space in the front that maternity pants require. And I realized yesterday that it's just about late enough that I really should stop wearing the culottes, and all my long pants... Well, they don't fit anymore. These maternity pants are all that fit. I need to do some more clothes shopping soon, I guess. I'm a little tired this morning... No, let's not dissemble. I'm a lot tired this morning. Penny woke up at 1. And 1:20. At 1:40, Matt changed her diaper before putting her back to bed. At 1:55, we tried letting her cry it out. At 2:15, I made up a bottle of water with some Tylenol mixed into it. She sucked it down, and held tightly onto the bottle when I tried to take it away. I held her on my lap for a while, to give the Tylenol some time to take effect. She held the bottle firmly in her mouth the whole time - and in the same place, which she doesn't usually do when she's just playing with an empty bottle. Which finally clued me in to the thought that she might be teething. Joy. So I put her back into bed, bottle and all. (Yes, I know you're not supposed to do that. But at that point, I'd been awake for an hour and a half. Anyway, I think the Tylenol drops are sugarless.) She watched as I covered her with her blanket and turned out the light, but she didn't put up a fuss. I don't know how long it took for her to go back to sleep. It didn't take me long, though. I know someone who's getting a little snort of Tylenol in their evening bottle tonight, though. |
