Penny went to bed without a fuss last night. And she only woke up once, and then went back to sleep fairly quickly. Better still, she slept in until 6:15! Of course, I still slept nervously from 3:30 until the alarms went off at 6, so I'm still a bit tired today. But at least I begin to have hope that things are improving again. Now that the holidays are right on top of us, I'm altering my diet goals and strategy. Trying to lose weight over the holidays is simply ridiculous. So my goal, from now until the New Year, is to simply not gain. As far as strategy... Even though today is Tuesday, and thus not normally a "gym" day for me, I put my gym bag in the car. I have decided that any workday that I fall off the wagon at work - whether it's doughnuts or cookies left in the kitchen, or M&Ms from the vending machine - I have to go to the gym. I'm not sure yet whether that's going to actually help me stay away from goodies, or if I'll just be going to the gym more often. I guess we'll see. I logged into my wishlist yesterday to clear out the stuff I'd gotten for my birthday, and when I clicked the "clear purchased items" link, the number of things dropped... more than I thought it would. Which means that some things were marked as purchased, there, that I haven't received. Which isn't a big deal - I still want everything that was in my list, so it's cool that I'm getting some of it for Christmas (I assume) - but if you'd marked something as purchased, and now you want to change your mind, you can't go back to unmark it. If that happens to be the case, please drop me an e-mail and let me know, so I can add whatever it was back in. 'Cause, y'know. I still want it. Yeah, yeah, I know. Boring entry. Tough noogies. Go add to the collection of cow puns or something. |
