2 December 2004

I totally blew off most of my work yesterday to write. There were a couple of "must be done by the end of the day" things that I did, but mostly? I just put everything in a stack for later.

The good news is that I was able to complete my writing goal for the week.

The bad news is that... Well, I have an awful lot of work piled up for me today.

So no writing for me today, at least until I've reviewed these two documents, and done my administrivia for the month. There's another task I've got on my calendar to do as well, but it can wait until tomorrow or early next week if I want it to.

And it probably will. I wrote almost a thousand words yesterday, at work and at home. It felt so good. Toward the end, it was even beginning to flow steadily, instead of coming in fits and starts. I want to keep it going.

I wished I'd had my camera on-hand this morning while Matt was strapping Penny into the carseat.

I'd decorated the tree in our front yard with ribbons and shiny plastic Christmas balls, and there was frost this morning. One of the red balls on the tree was half-covered with frost, and it looked really neat.

Ah, well. There will be other frosts, I'm sure. I just need to remember to have my camera with me.
