14 December 2004

I have a sneaking suspicion that I'm not long for the office today. Penny started her morning out with what we'll just call "diaper issues" for the sake of my non-parent readers. A few of those at daycare will get her sent home right quick. And I'm the one with the slow week at work.

I don't know how much good being at work will do me, anyway. Penny had a crying jag just as Matt and I were turning in, so we were up until 12:30 or so. We didn't get moving until quite late this morning, and I'm still pretty tired.

I'm hoping to finish wrapping Christmas presents while I'm here, at least. I don't need to be but so alert for that, and we need to get boxes in the mail by the end of this week.

At least the 7th Sea game - the reason Matt and I were up so late in the first place - was fun. I got to be dramatic in my own idiom, and everything. Of course, online combat takes forever - and 7th Sea combat is pretty lengthy even tabletop - so we only finished the first round last night. We're going to try to finish up tonight.

(I really, really need to work on a 7th Sea/piratical playlist, though. I like a bit of dramatic music in the background during combat. Time to put that new broadband connection to work, I guess!)
