Happy Valentine's Day!
We had a really good weekend. There was shopping, and more shopping, and Matt and I bought a new DVD player/VCR combo to replace our old, failing one (our Valentine's Day present to ourselves) and Penny got to spend an hour or so with her Grandmom...
But the real memory-maker for the weekend was, of course, Emma's Valentine party. Did I promise pictures? Pictures, I got! Look for an update to the photo album later - but because you're my favorite 'net friends, you get a sneak peek!
Emma had several friends from preschool to play with, but she was thrilled to see Penny nonetheless. |
Penny, for her part, couldn't have been more thrilled to get to play with the "big girls." |
Kris is better than me at planning Activities for parties. She had three tables set up, and smocks for the girls to wear. Penny very much enjoyed "decorating" her little bag. And herself. |
She was even more enthusiastic about the cookie-decorating table. Or at least, about the cookie-eating part. |
(Jess seemed to quite enjoy the cookies, herself.) |
Penny threw herself into card-making with a will. Alas; when we went to visit her Grandmom and Grandad Sunday, I forgot the card at home. Oops. |
Best part of all, though? ICE CREAM CAKE! |
In case anyone had any doubts at all concerning Braz's ability to cope with two little girls in his house - he spent half the party obligingly pretending to be a monster - all the girls had great fun shrieking and running (but not too far). He even let them climb all over him, and gave rides. |
He wasn't nearly as obliging about giving Matt a ride, though, for some reason. |
