March 2005

Feeling a bit better today, thanks for asking.
When someone asks me what I'm thinking about and I answer, "nothing," that's sort of a shorthand for...
So maybe I won't feel quite so headless-chicken about today.
  How slow is slow?
Could you resist? I THINK NOT!
Penny is beginning to edge into the "two" phase.
Can you already hear the universe sniggering up its sleeve at me?
I haven't checked lately, but it may be approaching novelette length.
That's sort of like the journey to the Dark Side. But, y'know, without all the cool lightning and power.
I don't remember it as a flow of events so much as a series of snapshots, though.
But right now, I feel pretty good. Almost excited.
She was having none of the vocabulary lesson, though.
I spent some time with her last night, going through her books and randomly naming things on the pages for her to point to, and she knew almost all of them.
  I feel... good.
So now I'm back at work, and writing this journal entry nice and long, because it sure as heck beats the alternative, which is to, y'know, do work.
  Here's something a little unusual.
I'm just excited to have done it. To be done with it.
I haven't even had any sugar yet today!
  "EH-BOH! EH-BOH! EH-BOH!"
Once upon a time, in a land far, far away.
  It's quiz time! WHEE!
