3 March 2005

Yep, yesterday was crazy. I kept having to jump from one task to another without finishing, and then getting interrupted and having meetings and...

On the other hand, I did actually manage to accomplish a lot, and I checked off a long stack of niggling little tasks.

Today, at least, I need to pretty much focus on one largish task, because it has to be turned in by tomorrow. So maybe I won't feel quite so headless-chicken about today.

I got some more work done on my wedding/honeymoon scrapbook last night, too. If I work on it some more tonight, I might be able to finish laying out all the various pictures and maps and things!

Which is not to say I'll be done with the whole scrapbook, of course - I need to go back and decorate some of the pages, and add titles, and captions for the pictures, and there are a couple of pages where I've planned some significant journalling...

But it'll feel nice to reach that milestone.

"I was going to make chili for dinner, but I forgot to take the hamburger out of the freezer to thaw yesterday."

"We do have a microwave that defrosts, right?"

"I don't like to thaw hamburger in the microwave. Half of it winds up cooked."

"Were you planning on making chili with raw meat?"

"Now, look-!"

"Or is this where you tell me that there's no hope for it and we're going to the Outback for dinner?"

(We had chili.)

I'm not in a bad mood, just too tired and distracted to focus.
5 Years Ago:
And as long as we're putting mulch down, I want to pick up some plants - preferably something that will live around here and doesn't have to be transplanted or replaced every year.
