Happy St. Patrick's Day, to everyone who: a) is Catholic; b) is Irish; c) likes the color green; or d) enjoys an excuse to drink extra beer!

We're definitely moving into the Terrible Twos. This morning, Penny threw fits over a tube of toothpaste, and an orange.

And Matt is still sick, which isn't doing anything useful for his temper. He's calling the doctor today, though, as his sore throat is only getting worse.

Penny may have to go back to the doctor herself, though, because the antibiotic they gave us for her rash has made it better, but not cleared it up yet - and there's only three days left in the run. If it doesn't go away by Monday or Tuesday next week, we'll have to take her back in, because this is ridiculous. She's had this rash for a month, now.

Her vocabulary is growing by leaps and bounds, though. She understands a whole slew of words that I had no idea that she knew. I spent some time with her last night, going through her books and randomly naming things on the pages for her to point to, and she knew almost all of them.

Lately, I've been working with her on colors. Adjectives are a kind of advanced concept, so it's slow going. My current strategy is to read her a color-themed book before bed each night, and to ask her questions so she'll memorize the right answers. Even if she doesn't quite get it, it'll lay the groundwork. It's how we started teaching her the names of animals and other things in her books, as well.

The audit is going well, thanks for asking. I got a document request at 4pm yesterday that nearly made me fall over in panic - I won't bore you with the details - but then it all worked out, so it's not so bad.

Today I'm supposed to be giving some preparation/training material to people who are being interviewed next week, and I've got an interview of my own this afternoon, but that one should be pretty relaxed.
