7 April 2005

And then there are days like yesterday. I had a productive morning, then got some writing done in the afternoon. The weather was gorgeous. I actually came up with a decent idea for dinner (even if I slightly flubbed it by overcooking the broccoli). Daycare sent me a cute picture they'd taken of Penny at their Easter egg hunt.

Penny was in a great mood. Happy, giggly, affectionate. Easily distracted from occasional whining. Didn't freak ouot when I brought out the bedtime books, and only fussed a little toward the end, to be sure I would be the one to take her up to bed.

Matt and I watched a good (if somewhat depressing) movie.

Penny slept soundly all night, and then didn't wake up until twenty past six this morning. Better still, I slept soundly all night, which happens even less often.

Ahh....

I'm thinking today will be a good day. Penny was mostly good this morning, the weather is beautiful, I have a new DVD from Netflix to watch, there isn't much work to do...

Life is good.
