Another slowish day at work, it looks like. Good thing I got discs from Netflix yesterday, eh?

Not much to talk about, really. Had a Hall/Scum session yesterday, to help K.T. get her plot back on track after Karen went haring off after a red herring. (Haring, herring... ha!) It was fun. The next one will probably be tomorrow evening, as it needs to be with Karen, and that's when she's free.

My parents gave Penny this little plastic watering can to play with, and yesterday afternoon was so nice that I took her outside and filled up a bucket with water and let her fill and pour to her heart's content. She got absolutely soaked, of course, but that's part of the fun, right? I took off my own shoes and socks and enjoyed letting the water run over my feet.

I had some network trouble at work yesterday. Right around mid-morning, as I was getting ready to upload pictures to the photo album, my ftp connection sputtered and died, and wouldn't re-connect. And then I discovered that my ssh/irc connection had died, too.

It was the weirdest disconnect I've ever seen. I thought maybe confusticate (the server I usually ssh into) had gone down - except Matt and I text-messaged a little and he said it was still up and running. So I wondered if my company had blocked confusticate - except that I could still get to its various web pages just fine. I wondered if they'd blocked ssh and ftp ports - except that I could still get to yeehaw just fine.

So I have no idea what happened, but I wound up setting up an ssh connection to yeehaw, and then ssh'ing from yeehaw to confusticate. Which is like going around your ass to get to your thumb, but it worked. I hope whatever it was is straightened out today.

Thank goodness I've got a little technical expertise.

I didn't sleep very well last night - I had the same ongoing dream pretty much all night, and I don't even remember enough of it now to summarize it. Oh, well. At least Penny slept.
