May 2005

 2  Doubleplus good weekend.
3  I am both flattered and repulsed.
4  Today I'm doing a memething that I found through Terri over at frogblog.
5  But it kind of felt like it was trying too hard to be clever.
6  I think I've stretched that metaphor about as far as it will go, don't you?
9  It's hysterically funny, and I was cursing myself that I didn't have my camera with me.
10  There's nothing left, in the space in my head that he used to occupy, but ghosts and echoes.
11  I don't think that's what happened this morning, but I'm willing to consider that it might be on the way.
12  I wanted to like it. I really, really did.
13  So I pulled out the book, and read through the introduction, and then turned the page.
16  As usual, Penny latched onto her Uncle John and wouldn't let go.
17  So this morning, you get the lamest of lame journal entries.
18  I haven't had to turn in outlines and rough drafts since the 10th grade.
19  I'm ready to kill something, or someone.
20  That's what I signed up to do, with this project.
23  It was a really nice weekend, with good friends and family and really wonderful weather.
 24  Not fair.
25  Wow, we got a late start this morning.
26  "Hey, hey," Penny said. "Hey-hey-hey-hey-hey."
 27  And Monday's a holiday - whoo!
31  My dad, who could see her from his seat in the dining room, turned to look, so I have a witness:
Pictures:
- Greg and babies.
- Penny demanded an extra diaper.
- Babies with balls.
- I don't think that's what Tooth Book means, Jess.
- Penny and Jess share a cup.
- Penny really likes corn on the cob.
- Higher, Bapa, higher!
