Well, Dusk is dead. Or not. I'm not sure whether he managed a very successful and complicated illusion, or if he really did have an accident and die. And if I'm not sure, then nobody's sure. But he is gone. There's nothing left, in the space in my head that he used to occupy, but ghosts and echoes. I'm a little relieved, and a little sad. But, honestly? Mostly relieved. He was very, very intense - but not especially passionate. He was all form, and little substance. And he wouldn't talk to me. Everything I knew about him, I knew because Dawn told me. Which probably makes Dusk the superior thief. But it makes Dawn the better character. Bye, Dusk. You'll be missed. If you ever decide you're ready to talk... We'll be waiting. How can everyone else at my office be so freaking busy, and I be so freaking bored? The plan for today? Do a quick audit write-up, do some paperwork and administrative crap. All of which will probably take me about an hour and a half. Maybe two hours, if I try to stretch it out. At least I have a book to read. |
