Um... Happy Flag Day.

I'm about two-thirds asleep this morning, and all I really want to do is whine.

I don't even have anything original or new to whine about. So, unlike certain toddlers who will remain nameless, I'll just shut up.

My Tao reading of the day says,

Exterminate learning and there will no longer be worries.
Between yea and nay
How much difference is there?
Between good and evil
How great is the distance?
What others fear
One must also fear.
And wax without having reached the limit.
The multitude are joyous
As if partaking of the t'ai lao offering
Or going up to a terrace in spring.
I alone am inactive and reveal no signs,
Like a baby that has not yet learned to smile,
Listless as though with no home to go back to.
The multitude all have more than enough.
I alone seem to be in want.
My mind is that of a fool - how blank!
Vulgar people are clear.
I alone am drowsy.
Vulgar people are alert.
I alone am muddled.
Calm like the sea;
Like a high wind that never ceases.
The multitude all have a purpose.
I alone am foolish and uncouth.
I alone am different from others
And value being fed by the mother.

Somehow, it seems appropriate. Quitcherbitchin.

So, let's see. Plans for today?

I've got a Hall session planned with K.T., I think. Chances are good that Dad and I will take a walk at some point. I forgot to pack a movie (no whining, spin it up now) so maybe I'll get some work done on Willow Bough at some point. My schedule says there's a document due out today that I haven't reviewed yet, so some Actual Work will probably enter the picture.

I don't have any plans for the evening, but it's Tuesday, which means I need to remember to park far enough back from the garage that Matt can get the trash can out for the collectors tomorrow. Matt may (or may not) be playing basketball after work. It's Penny's bath night.

And I'm looking forward to lunch. Yesterday, on my way home from work, I stopped at the fresh produce stand that's open for the summer again. I bought almost $20 worth of tomatoes and squash and peaches, and I'm having a whole, fresh tomato with my lunch today.

The end.
