I have no fun and clever things to talk about today, I'm afraid.

K.T. got a new organizer the other day, so that she could try to make sure to have time for all the stuff that she has to do every day and every week, as well as all the stuff that she wants to do every day and every week.

Naturally, I came down with a case of organizer's envy and techno-lust. Oooo, shiny!

But I managed to contain it, mostly. I'd stopped using my Palm because it didn't do some of the things I wanted it to do, and because it was inconvenient to sync and recharge. And also, because my company wouldn't let me install Palm Desktop, so I couldn't use it for work stuff, which is where most of my big scheduling crunches happen.

A new Palm would have all those same problems, no matter how shiny.

And I've re-organized and re-vamped my scheduling system dozens of times. I love to re-organize my stuff and my system... but I'm not so good at sticking to it.

So I really really hope K.T.'s new system settles into a familiar pattern, and that she uses it and that it helps her be less stressed.

But for now, I resist the siren call of newershinypretty.
