The training yesterday went about like I thought it would, which is to say it was tedious at times, but I got a lot of solid information out of it. So that's okay.

The evening was kind of hectic; I got home and prepped dinner, then washed the dishes, then started making my soup for the week, and then I cooked dinner, and then we ate, and then I got a bit of a break while Matt took Penny for a walk, and then I made lunches, and then I put the soup into containers, and then I boiled eggs, and...

Run run run run run run run.

Except, you know. Mostly standing still.

And Penny woke up twice last night between 11 and 1. I don't know what happened when Matt went in to calm her down at 11:45, but at 12:30, it went something like this:

"Daddy-daddy-daddy!"

"Shhh, it's okay, Mommy's here."

"No! DADDY!"

"Daddy's asleep, honey. It's sleepy-time. Are you okay?"

"...Yeah."

"Okay. Can you lay down like a big girl and go back to sleep?"

"Daddy?"

"Daddy's asleep. Lay down, please."

"Book? A book! A book!"

"No, no book. It's night time. You can have a book in the morning."

"Nana? Nana! Eat!"

"No, you can't have a banana. It's time to go to sleep."

"Daddy?"

"Daddy's sleeping. Lay down and go back to sleep, sweetie. That's a good girl. Mommy loves you."

"Ehbo? Ehbo!"

"No, you can't watch-- You want Baby Elmo [a toy]? Okay. Here he is. Here you go. Give him a big hug. Night-night, honey."

"...Milk?"

"Go to sleep, Penny."
